Honoring Veterans of Glen Rock

Come and join us as we celebrate the 150th anniversary of Glen Rock and honor it's veterans on June 11th, 2010 beginning at 2:00PM. 2010 Memorial Day Ceremony

May 31st, 2010 at 11:00AM This year's Memorial Day service will be held at Immanuel United Methodist Cemetary at the top of church street in Glen Rock, PA. Our guest speaker is COL John Dabrowski (US Army) from the Naval War College. The event will be followed by a reception at the post home catered by the Post's Auxiliary.

Meeting Changes for 2010

Please make a note of changes to our meeting dates and times that are now in affect. Regular Legion meetings will now be held on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7:00PM and Home Association meetings will be held on the 4th Thursday of every month at 7:00PM. The SAL and Auxiliary will meet on thier regularly scheduled times.

House Rules Updated

New House Rules have been approved by the Post 403 Executive Board effective October 22nd, 2009. All members are required to understand and abide by the House Rules at all times while on the Austin L. Grove Post 403 premises. Copies of the House Rules are available at the Post or you can download them from the House Rules Link to the right.

Post 403 Introduces Free WiFi to Members

American Legion Post 403 has made the digital leap of putting wireless internet access in the post home. The internet password will change on a periodic basis and be posted in the dining area. At this time Post 403 is not able to provide a computer but you are more than welcome to bring your laptop or other wireless mobile device in and enjoy free internet access.

Installation Officers

New Officers for the 2009-2010 membership year from Post 403 were installed on Sunday, July 19th 2009 at Red Lion Post #543 in Red Lion, PA. Thank you Commander Henshaw and the members of Post 543 for inviting us to share in their installation and help to cut down on some of the travel for our dignitaries and district officers. We have a big year ahead of us and will need to work hard to get to our membership goals this year.

Facebook Community Reaches 100 Members

Early this year we started a webpage on the popular social networking site Facebook. There was no way to know how receptive the Legion Family, members and associates would be to this type of "New Age" method of communication. Well today I am proud to announce that the Austin L. Flag Retirement Ceremony 2009

The Post 403 Legion Family held a flag retirement ceremony at the post home on Monday, June 15th at 7:00PM. A special thank you to the Boyscouts from Troop 48 who helped make the ceremony possible and a very great event.
